Terms
The agreement between you and us when you make an account, buy something or play online.
1. Who we are
HexaCraft is made and sold by the HexaCraft team ("we"). You can reach us at support@hexacraft.org (about your data: privacy@hexacraft.org).
2. Who can use HexaCraft
Accounts are for players 13 and older. If you're under 18, or under the age of consent where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you and must give permission before you buy anything.
By making an account or buying something, you accept these terms and our privacy policy.
3. Your account
- One account per person. Give your real date of birth and an email address you can read.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what's done with your account.
- Don't pick a name that impersonates someone or is offensive. We can change or remove such names.
- Don't sell, trade or share your account.
- You can delete your account at any time on your account page. What you bought goes with it.
4. Your licence to the game
When you own HexaCraft, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download it with the launcher and play it with your account. You don't own the game, its code or its art. Don't copy, sell or redistribute the game, and don't use cheats, exploits or bots against other players or our services.
HexaCraft is in public alpha. It's still being made: updates add, change and remove things, and can break worlds. Keep backups of worlds you care about.
5. Buying
- HexaCraft costs €10. The Supporter Edition costs €20 and adds three capes that are only available with it. If you already own the game, the Supporter Edition costs €10.
- Other capes cost €5 each.
- Prices include VAT and are final at checkout. Purchases are sold for us by Link, Stripe's checkout service, which takes the payment, charges VAT or sales tax where you live and sends your receipt. We never see your card details.
- You can buy the game or the Supporter Edition as a key for someone else. A key works once, on an account that doesn't already have what it gives.
- Everything is delivered to your account (or as a key) straight after payment. Before you pay, you agree to that and confirm you lose your right to withdraw once it's delivered. Our refund policy explains when you still get your money back.
- If we change prices, it doesn't affect what you've already bought.
6. Capes, editions and keys
Capes and editions are part of your licence, not property. They have no cash value, stay with the account they were bought for, and can't be sold or transferred. A key can be given to someone else until it's redeemed. After that it belongs to the account that redeemed it.
7. Playing online
You can host your world for friends through our relay, or join servers other people run. Servers run by other people aren't ours: their owners set their own rules and are responsible for them.
8. Friends and chat
Don't harass, threaten or spam anyone, post hate or sexual content, or share other people's personal details. You can block and report players. We read reported chats and can mute or close accounts that break these rules.
9. What you make and upload
Your builds are yours. If you upload a skin, you must have the right to use it, and it must not be offensive. You let us store it and show it to other players in the game.
10. Ending your account
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, depending on how serious it is. Where we can, we warn first. If we close an account for a serious or repeated breach, what it bought isn't refunded. If we ever stop running HexaCraft's online services, we'll announce it on this site at least 30 days before.
11. Our responsibility
You have the legal rights of a consumer for digital content that doesn't work as described, and these terms don't reduce them. We're fully liable for harm we cause on purpose or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever the law doesn't allow liability to be limited. Otherwise, we aren't liable for losses we couldn't reasonably foresee, or for lost worlds or game data.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that affect you, we'll tell you by email or on this site before they apply. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
13. Law
If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in its courts.
